Drawing by Paige
Name: Isolde of Blackrain
Age: 26
Race: Human
Class: Fighter
Gender: Female
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 164lbs.
Build: Muscular
Hair Color: Dark Reddish-Brown
Eye Color: Emerald
General Appearance: tall, muscular build, but still lithe, like a runner. High cheekbones, small nose and full lips. She looks like she could be pretty, if she was built more effeminately and wasn't so rugged in appearance. Instead, she has a harsh expression on her face, and a look in her eye like she is one to be feared. She has scar across her right cheek from her cheekbone to her jawbone, as well as several on her arms, legs, and torso.
Distinguishable Characteristics: Serious, harsh, disciplined
Biography: Isolde grew up one of eight children, and the only female. She learned fighting techniques and strategies from her brothers, and left at the age of 17 to work as a hired guard under the guise of a male rather than marry. After working for seven years as a male, she started hiring herself out as a guard under her real identity.

Name: Eruestan Duskhand
Age: 24
Race: Half-Elf
Class: Bard
Gender: Male
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 160 lbs.
Build: Lanky
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Violet
General Appearance: A tall lanky being who has no trouble gallivanting through the woods. His hair goes half way down his back. Often he lets it flow and yet extremely neat and well groomed. His violet eyes can be intense as the sun or calm as a soft breeze. His pointed ears, while not as pointed as his mothers, identify him as having elven blood.
Distinguishing Characteristics: Lighthearted, determined, calm.
Biography: Eruestan's mother was raped by an evil human lord. The lord was captured and dealt with appropriately. However Eruestan was brought into the world. His mother, despite the circumstances of his conception, kept him and loved him as any mother. Not until he was 21 did his mother finally tell him that his father was not killed in a glorious self sacrificing manner, but who he really was. The young half elf ran. He ran far and long. Not wanting anything to do with his kind after their grand deceit, he lived among the humans and took up to telling the tales of his mothers folk of which he was found of. Now he is a wondering bard, avoiding any place heavily populated by the "good people".

Re: Character Introductions

Name: Aishe Lovell
Age: 25
Race: Human
Class: Rogue
Gender: Female
Height: 5’4”
Weight: 143 lbs.
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Amber
General Appearance: A very soft, feminine figure, she has thick, unruly hair that’s usually swept up and kept piled on top of her head for convenience. Her smile is genuine and she uses it often. Against her olive complexion and dark hair, her vivid amber eyes seem almost harsh in comparison. But there’s warmth, a kindness, in those very eyes that offsets any distrust her gypsy-like appearance may create.
Distinguishable Characteristics: Selfless, persistent, optimistic.
Biography: Aishe grew up among a clan of river gypsies. Her people traveled from city to city on flatboats, trading unique and outlandish goods to local merchants daring enough to accept their business. They were generally despised for what they were. Seen as people of sin and deception, they were not welcome in the towns, forcing them to move every few weeks or so. All throughout her childhood, Aishe was often reminded that the people from the towns were not friends, and that the clan was the only safe place for her. Even so, she held on to the belief that there must be some good in the world outside of clan life. Her father was her only surviving blood relative, but the clan acted as her family. They taught her that every clan member must watch out for one another, and that the well-being of the group was more important than the well-being of one member. They must work together to stay alive. She learned the arts of song and dance from the women while her father and the other men taught her all that she knows of fighting and thievery. They were all skills the clan often relied upon to survive, and she soon became well-versed in them.
In her 17th year, the clan had docked at a large port city for the winter, unable to travel on the freezing river. One morning, a young man stopped by, interested in purchasing some fabric. With the clan elders being otherwise occupied at the time, Aishe tended to him. She learned that he was a sailor by the name of Liam, stationed in the city until spring came around. As she told him of her life on the river, he developed an interest in her, promising to return. Liam came back every morning, with no purpose other than to speak to Aishe, to share stories and talk of dreams and desires. As spring drew near, Aishe had fallen in love with him and his tales of adventure out on the ocean. She longed to see the world. To spend a day out in open water, rather than the murky river she’d lived on her entire life. Every day, she fell deeper in love with the idea of it all.
The day before the clan was set to leave, Liam asked her to elope with him; promising Aishe a life of excitement and happiness out on the open sea. They would be married and live happily together for the rest of their lives. She was ready to run off with him in a heartbeat, but the words of her elders rang in her mind. She knew that if she were to leave, she would never be accepted home again. She would be marked “an náire”; She would be a disgrace, a shame to the clan. But willing to do anything for that opportunity of freedom and adventure, Aishe agreed. That night, while her friends and family slept, she left with him, never to return. He took her to the heart of the city, to a tavern where he had been staying. It was a small, humble inn called “The Captain’s Daughter”. She slept with him that night, happy to be together, glad of her decision to leave the clan behind. By the time the sun had risen the next morning, her friends, the clan elders, and her father were all gone. She never saw them again.
A week passed. Aishe and Liam had spent their days roaming the city and their nights tangled together in romantic bliss. She was happier than she had ever been; she was out in the free world with the sole passion of her heart. But one morning, Aishe awoke to an empty bed, Liam nowhere to be found. She scrambled her way down the stairs, frantic and in tears. Desperate, she asked the innkeeper if she had seen Liam, and the woman replied that he had left early that morning for the docks and was returning to sea. Devastated by the news, Aishe fell to her knees, heartbroken, sobbing at the innkeeper’s feet. Her life with the clan was gone forever, and her life with Liam was over before it had begun. Through Aishe’s sorrow, the woman took pity on her and offered her room and board so long as she agreed to work as a barmaid in the tavern. With nowhere else to go, Aishe rose to her feet and dried her tears, accepting the innkeeper’s offer. She has been working there ever since, dreaming of leaving the tavern and leading a life of adventure. But until that opportunity arises, she remains a dutiful barmaid.
(I apologize for the length of my biography.)
